Valarian Raises $7M in Funding; Brings Total to $20M

Valarian, a London, UK-based provider of a platform for enforced isolation and compartmentalized infrastructure, raised $7M in funding.
The round, which brought the total amount to $20M, was co-led by Scout Ventures and Artis Ventures, with participation from angel investor Gokul Rajaram. Previous investors included Molten Ventures, IQ Capital, and MD One.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its government partnerships, develop additional deployment pathways, and bring platform-level containment to environments previously reliant on retrofitted security measures.
Led by CEO Max Buchan and COO Josh McLaughlin, Valarian delivers infrastructure for institutions operating at the front lines of risk. Its platform, ACRA, enforces isolation, auditability, and control, designed to contain threats and preserve operational integrity when assumptions about trust fail. Its main services include Privileged Communication, a permissioned collaboration suite, and External Comms Capture, a tool for monitoring and archiving messaging platforms like WhatsApp, Signal, and Telegram. The company serves both regulated enterprises and national security programs with compartmentalized systems for secure communication, compliance, and continuity.
